
Objective
The central objective of this project was to question conventional school book designs and explore new, more engaging, and beneficial design approaches, intended to facilitate learning. Through research and examination of various theoretical books, I developed a comprehensive set of guidelines that formed the framework of my project.
Text
To get rid of overwhelming big chunks of text, I decided to divide it into smaller pieces and give it considerable white space around. Theoretically this way students should have time to comprehend the material they have read.
Images
It is important to evoke positive emotions in the students, using visual cues. The cues can be striking, or exaggerated images that would not only catch the attention but would also, in the best-case scenario, evoke specific associations brought up by previous knowledge.
